2022 TriDurLE Symposium Presentations in Honolulu HI

About the Symposium

The Transportation Infrastructure Durability and Life Extension Center (TriDurLE) was established in 2019 and is funded by the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) through the University Transportation Center (UTC). It is the only national center focused on improving the durability and extending the life of transportation infrastructure. America’s aging infrastructure calls for holistic approaches to infrastructure management. The TriDurLE 2022 symposium is the second annual symposium of this national UTC center.

Symposium Topics

The conference topics will include, but are not limited to one or more of the following:

• Management: Asset management and performance management for enhanced durability and life-extension of transportation infrastructure
• Monitoring: Condition monitoring, remote sensing, and the use of GPS for enhanced durability and life-extension of transportation infrastructure
• Addressing corrosion of transportation infrastructure
• Addressing aging and other materials-related durability distresses of transportation infrastructure through the use of new materials, technologies, and construction methodologies.
• Addressing natural hazards and extreme events that threaten the durability and service life of transportation infrastructure
• Intervention and rehabilitation of transportation infrastructure through advanced materials, technologies and construction methodologies

Presentation Abstracts

Abstracts are welcome from researchers within and outside TriDurLE as well as DOT infrastructure engineers with an interest on infrastructure durability. Those interested in presenting at the conference should submit a 400-word abstract by 11:59 pm EDT,  October 21, 2022. Individuals will be notified of their abstract acceptance.
